RESTORE FLATTENED & MATTED ARTIFICIAL TURF
Artificial grass can become flattened and matted from foot traffic, pets, furniture and everyday use. Regular grooming helps lift the turf fibers, loosen trapped debris and restore a fuller, more natural appearance.
ARTIFICIAL TURF GROOMING & RESTORATION TOOLS
-
REMOVE DEBRIS
Clear leaves, pet hair and trapped debris before grooming so the turf fibers can move freely.
-
LIFT THE FIBERS
Brush against the grain to lift flattened and matted artificial grass and restore a fuller appearance.
-
MAINTAIN REGULARLY
Routine grooming helps prevent severe matting and keeps high-traffic artificial turf looking its best.
WHY DOES ARTIFICIAL TURF BECOME FLATTENED?
Artificial turf fibers naturally bend and flatten from foot traffic, pets, outdoor furniture and repeated use. Dirt, leaves and other debris can also settle between the fibers, making the turf look matted or worn.
Regular grooming helps loosen trapped debris and lift the fibers back toward an upright position. High-traffic areas may need more frequent grooming than areas that receive little use.
ARTIFICIAL TURF GROOMING & RESTORATION FAQ
What's the difference between the Turf Power Sweep™ MAX and Fiber Lift Pro™?
The Turf Power Sweep™ MAX is a powered grooming system designed to lift turf fibers while collecting leaves, pet hair and debris. Fiber Lift Pro™ is a dedicated grooming tool for lifting and restoring artificial turf fibers.
Can I use a regular stiff broom on artificial turf?
Use caution with household brooms or tools that weren't designed for synthetic turf. Avoid aggressive metal bristles that could damage turf fibers. A turf-specific grooming tool is the safer choice.
How do I make flattened artificial grass stand back up?
Brush the turf against the grain using a grooming tool designed for artificial grass. This helps lift flattened fibers and loosen debris trapped between them. For larger areas, a powered turf broom can make the process much faster.
How often should artificial turf be groomed?
It depends on traffic and use. High-traffic areas, pet turf and spaces with outdoor furniture may need grooming more frequently. A good rule is to groom the turf whenever fibers begin looking noticeably flattened or matted.
Can you restore matted artificial turf?
In many cases, yes. Removing trapped debris and brushing the fibers against the grain can significantly improve the appearance of matted turf. Severely damaged or permanently deformed fibers may not fully recover.
What direction should I brush artificial grass?
For lifting and restoration, brush against the natural grain of the turf. This helps raise fibers that have been pushed down by traffic and use.
